What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin layers of ceramic material that are permanently cemented to the front surface of your teeth. Veneers look like natural teeth, are custom-made for you and color-matched to your surrounding teeth. They are also very durable.

Designing and placing veneers so that they look natural is a meticulous and difficult task so it's important that you choose a cosmetic dentist trained and experienced with porcelain veneers.

How the Veneer Process Works
Applying veneers usually takes about a month from start to finish and typically includes three appointments after the initial consultation with Dr. Spinner.

• During your initial consultation with Dr. Spinner, you and he can discuss your desired results and Dr. Spinner's opinion on the best solutions for obtaining the perfect smile for you. If you decide together that porcelain veneers are the best option, you can then schedule the rest of your veneer appointments.
• For your first veneer appointment, your teeth will be shaped to accommodate the thickness of the veneers and then a mold, or impression, will be taken of your teeth. Dr. Spinner will send the impression to one of the best dental labs in the country, which will then create your custom veneers. Dr. Spinner will receive your veneers back from the lab in about two weeks.
• During the second appointment, the veneers will be inspected to insure a natural and attractive look. When both you and Dr. Spinner are happy with them, the custom veneers will be permanently cemented to the front of your teeth.
• 4. The last appointment will be a follow-up visit to make sure that your veneers are properly fitted and feel comfortable to you.
